Eroded Patterns
A group research project on the erosive forces on Barcelona’s shoreline. By leveraging the existing natural forces, the project aimed to propose a speculative habitat for research which through the help of nature and technology, could theoretically self-assemble into an occupiable, sustainable facility.
Louver Component
A three month project in which I worked with Gary Li to create a louver and photovoltaic panel mounting bracket for a proposed maker-center in Pittsburgh. The project went through multiple redesigns after discussions with local metal fabricators. Our goal was to create a piece within a small budget for prototyping. The result of our process is documented below.
Audio Window
An interactive lighting installation, mounted on the exterior of the Row House Cinema in Pittsburgh, which responds to the audio from the movie playing inside.
Built Beat
Using the energy data from a Carnegie Mellon University building, this project responds with a pulse of light which speeds up as energy usage goes up and slows down as energy usage is reduced. At peak energy use, the building "pulse" appears distressed, just as a humans pulse would appear. By humanizing the energy usage of a building, inhabitants can understand how their habits are directly effecting the building.

App Wireframe
Working with a small team in an entrepreneurship course, I created this wireframe of a user interface for a hypothetical app. The goal of the app was by proposing an activity you could get matched with other people interested in pursuing the same social activity, thus allowing any individual to instantly find a new social group.
